Studio Confidential offers inside look at artists' work spaces

The Gallery at Flat Rock is offering an opportunity for the curious, art-loving public to get first-ever glimpses into the creative lairs of gallery artists.

Studio Confidential, a special online event this month, will turn the spotlight on several gallery artists. The backbone of this first-ever online exposé will consist of video footage peering into artists’ individual studios. Viewers will be authorized to turn a spying eye into where the creative magic happens, all while getting to know the habits of a particular artist within their natural habitat. This viewing might include getting a sneak peak of their latest idea or project, or even meeting their furry friend for the first time.

“There are so many ways to be creative, and that process is often a mystery,” says Suzanne Camarata, owner of The Gallery at Flat Rock. “Studio Confidential will allow curious art lovers to crash private studios to see what really goes on in there.”
Camarata adds that viewers will also be privy to the Studio Confidential Gallery, with affordable artworks priced $300 and under. Timed only with the Studio Confidential event, each artist will reveal 3 to 5 works of art for sale, with 10 percent of proceeds going directly to the Henderson County COVID-19 Response Fund, the newly-created emergency response fund to assist Henderson County nonprofits working to respond to coronavirus.
Finally, Studio Confidential will also feature exclusive written Q&A interviews with gallery artists, to dish out what's really going on in their heads on a daily basis and why they bother to make art at all.
