Streets around HHS closed Friday for covid-compliant graduation processional

Traffic patterns around Hendersonville High School will be altered Friday afternoon for the school's coronavirus-compliant drive-up diploma ceremony.

 

 

Several streets will be closed to the public and open to families driving graduating seniors through the procession.

The following streets will be closed from 3:30 to 6:30:

  • North Church Street from Five Points to Bearcat Boulevard
  • Buncombe Street from U.S. 64 to Bearcat Boulevard.
  • Bearcat Boulevard from Oakland Street to North Church Street.

Traffic approaching Church Street at the Five Points intersection will be diverted to N. Main St.

No parking will be permitted on Friday after 9 a.m. in the on-street parking along Church Street between Five Points and Bearcat Boulevard. Graduating seniors have been provided with instructions from Hendersonville High School regarding staging and procession information. City and school officials asks the public to please avoid the area during the ceremony and follow the detour routes.
