Sheriff's office asks help locating 13-year-old runaway

The Henderson County sheriff's office is seeking the public's help in locating a 13-year-old runaway who was last seen at 1 p.m. Sunday near her home on McElrath Road in Mills River.

The sheriff's office described Shayla McIntyre as a white female approximately 5’5” tall weighing 120 pounds. She is wearing a gray hoodie with the word “Savage” written on the front and has black and white checkered sleeves. She is wearing camouflage sweatpants and has blue eyes and red hair. The sheriff's office asked anyone who has seen Shayla to call the office at 828.697.4911.
