Cooper shuts down speedway that's been violating emergency order

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services issued an order requiring an Alamance County speedway to immediately close their facility and halt operations. Suspect caught in Dana robbery

The Henderson County sheriff’s deputies have charged a man in the robbery of the El Charrito Tienda Mexicana store at 2000 Dana Road in Dana on Sunday. Aaron Chase Melvin was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and jailed on a $50,000 bond.   Read Story »
