Man in standoff with the law closes stretch of Willow Road

Sheriff's deputies' involvement with a suspect barricaded in a home caused law officers to close Willow Road in the area of Moore Street west of the Valley Hill Fire & Rescue.

There is no threat to the public at this time but the roads will remain closed until further notice, the sheriff's office said. As a precautionary measure, the sheriff's office closed that part of Willow Road southwest of the city. Moore Street is across from East Price Street between the volunteer fire station and Fairway Drive.
