Farmers markets have produce, treats and sweets for Thanksgiving feast

Vendors at the Hendersonville Farmers Market on Saturday will have farm-fresh products to help put a local feast on your family’s table for Thanksgiving. More than 30 vendors will line Maple Street selling seasonal produce plus locally made artisan crafts. The Mills River Farm Market also promises plenty of holiday season goodies. Both are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday's event is the first of two Holiday Markets that will close the season. The second Holiday Market will take place two weeks later, on Dec. 3, also 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

SNAP/EBT users can double their dollars on eligible food items. There will be live music and kids’ activities at both Holiday Markets. For more holiday events, visit downtownhendersonville.org.

At the Mills River Farm Market at Mills River Elementary School, more than 50 vendors will be on hand offering seasonal produce, microgreens, candles, baked goodies, seafood, pickles, woodcraft items and more.
