Art League hosts reveal of young artists' banners Tuesday at Jackson Park

The Art League of Henderson County will host a reveal of the ArtScape banner work by 21 young artists at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at pavillion #1 in Jackson Park. The Art League invited youth to submit their artwork for the new program designed to highlight the creativity and artistic skills of the county's younger residents.

Attendees will be able to meet the artists for the Youth Program. The artist’s work and name, and grade will appear on a durable-vinyl banner. Light refreshments will be provided.

Michele Sparks, Junior Youth Banner chair, worked closely with Henderson County Parks and Recreation to bring this program to the park. “I can’t wait to see the faces of the junior artists when they see their banners for the first time flying high in Jackson Park,” she said.

This program was made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Henderson County. ArtScape, a program of the Art League of Henderson County, was founded in 2017. The program is supported by the Tourism Development Authority of Henderson County, the city of Hendersonville and corporate and private sponsors.
