Taco Boy opening in Biltmore Town Square

Taco Boy—a neighborhood taqueria founded in 2006 on Folly Beach, South Carolina — plans to open a second Asheville location in October in Biltmore Park Town Square.

The restaurant will bring its scratch-made tacos, fresh-juiced margaritas and cocktails and other Mexican-inspired eats to the shopping center's main roundabout in the space formerly occupied by O.P. Taylor’s and NEO Burrito.

A complete renovation of the space added arches, recessed shelving behind a long wooden bar and a mural by local artist Wyatt Grant.
“I think the most significant improvement is the addition of the Sunroom and how we will continue to bring our indoor/outdoor experience to the restaurant,” Karalee Nielsen Fallert, Taco Boy's founder and co-owner, said in a news release. “We want to make sure people feel like they’ve been transported to a locale afar as they gather with friends and loved ones.”
The restaurant will offer seating at the bar, dining room, sunroom and outdoor patio. Glass accordion doors between the sunroom and dining room will allow for an indoor/outdoor connection on beautiful days.

New small plate items include made-to-order guacamole en molcajete, ceviche, veggie and seafood empanadas, and seasoned Fruta Fresca are among the additions. Also new are large plate lunch orders including tortas, a burrito, and enchiladas with Mexican rice and beans. Dinner entrees include a whole steamed snapper, mole de carnitas, baby back ribs with grilled cactus, New York strip, and enchilada.

Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thurs, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
