Treat Street draws a crowd to Main Street for Halloween (2)

Treat Street Hendersonville’s Main Street on Tuesday filled with children and adults celebrating Halloween.

Children and their parents dressed up for Halloween Tuesday and roamed Hendersonville’s Main Street in search of treats and a good time.

The Treat Street hosted by Henderson County’s Parks and Recreation Department and Historic Downtown Hendersonville provided both in abundance.
Treat Street this year included 55 vendors made up of local businesses and organizations that gave out treats to children. It also included bounce houses, a fun zone, a costume contest and a DJ dance party, Bridgette Thompson, the recreation coordinator for the county’s parks and recreation department, said.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for our families to come out and bring their kids to an event that’s safe and fun,” she said.
Treat Street usually brings about 10,000 people to Main Street on Halloween, Thompson said.
