Victim, 15, in stable condition after shooting at Cook Out

Hendersonville police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night at the Cook Out on Chimney Rock Road that left an Asheville teenager hospitalized in stable condition, the city said.

Officers responding to a report of gunfire at the drive-through restaurant at 2546 Chimney Rock Road at 11:18 p.m. were told that the 15-year-old boy who had been shot had left the scene before their arrival and was taken to Mission Hospital. 
Detectives are working on leads from eyewitnesses to identify and apprehend suspects.
