Following an investigation spanning several months and thanks to numerous tips and Facebook posts regarding a white truck, Henderson County sheriff’s detectives arrested 44-year-old Kelly Angulo and charged her with a series of daytime break-ins targeting local Hispanic families.

Investigators believe she may also be connected to other breaking and entering cases throughout the region, the sheriff's office said in a news release Friday.

Angulo was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Henderson County Detention Center. She has been charged with second-degree burglary and larceny after breaking and entering. She may face additional charges as the investigation continues, the news release said. The agency encouraged anyone with additional information regarding the case to contact Detective Edwards at cedwards@hendersoncountync.gov or use the “submit a tip” feature available on the sheriff's mobile app.
