Youth baseball coach faces more charges

Henderson County sheriff's deputies have added two more charges against a 33-year-old youth baseball coach who they say was spanking boys' bottoms in his home.

The detectives added two felony counts of indecent liberties with a child against Jonathan Shawn Russell. The charges came after the department had charged  Russell with four counts of assault on a child under 12 in January. The former Little League baseball coach was arrested without incident and taken to the Henderson County jail, where he was being held on a $40,000 secured bond. His first appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday in District Court of Henderson County.
