Harrys & Piggys thanks police, firefighters this weekend

Harry's & Piggy's wants police officers and firefighters to know they're appreciated.

The Hendersonville restaurant and ice cream parlor on Duncan Hill Road is offering law enforcement officers and firefighters a free ice cream cone whether they're in uniform or showing a badge. The police and firefighter appreciation time is 1-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"We just want to give them free ice cream to show our appreciation," Elaine Thompson said.

Piggy's Ice Cream Parlor serves more than 50 flavors.
