Planners announce neighborhood meeting on rezoning for medical clinic

City planners will hold a neighborhood compatibility meeting next week on UNC Health Pardee's plan to build a 45,000-square-foot medical office building on 4½ acres at the northwest corner of Spartanburg Highway and Old Spartanburg Road.

Pardee is seeking a rezoning from Highway Business Special Use to Medical, Institutional, Cultural Conditional District for the medical clinic that would include physician practices and other medical services. The neighborhood compatibility meeting, which allows a zoning applicant to describe plans for a project and respond to questions, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at City Hall, 160 Sixth Avenue East.
