East Flat Rock man charged with indecent liberties

The Henderson County Sheriff's office charged a 59-year-old East Flat Rock man with taking indecent liberties with a child on Thursday.

David Wayne Jones Sr., of 2712 Old Spartanburg Highway, faces one felony count. Deputies arrested him late Thursday evening at the home of a relative. He was also charged in an unrelated matter with misdemeanor assault on a female. He remains in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $21,000 bond. The investigation continues and further charges are possible, the sheriff's department said in a news release.
