A joint drug squad made up of officers from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and the Hendersonville Police Department charged two people with multiple drug trafficking after executing a search warrant at 819 Sixth Avenue West early Friday.
Complaints from the public about possible drug activity triggered the investigtion. During the search of the residence, task force detectives aided by Henderson County SWAT and K-9 units seized methamphetamine, suboxone, marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Michael Deshawn Gilchrist, 33, of Hendersonville was charged with:
• felony possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine
• felony possession of methamphetamine
• felony maintaining a dwelling
• misdemeanor possession of suboxone
• misdemeanor possession of marijuana
• misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Lisa Marie Grooms, 34, of Hendersonville was charged with:
• felony possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine
• felony possession of methamphetamine
• felony maintaining a dwelling
• misdemeanor possession of suboxone
• misdemeanor possession of marijuana
• misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Gilchrist and Grooms were jailed under a $21,800 secure bond.
