Home search turns up 1.4 pounds of meth

Henderson County sheriff's deputies charged a 41-year-old Dana man with multiple drug trafficking felonies Thursday after a vehicle stop led to the seizure of almost a pound and a half of methamphetamine at a home, the sheriff's office said.

 

Detectives with the Henderson County Drug Task Force with support from the sheriff's office K-9 and Crime Suppression Units seized 1.4 pounds  of methamphetamine (646 grams) and approximately 3 grams of heroin. The seizure came as the result of a vehicle stop and subsequent search warrant service on a home at 154 Justice Hills Drive in Dana. Detectives arrested Juan Carlos Beltran-Zazueta after executing the search warrant and seizing the cache of drugs. Beltran-Zazueta was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Center under a $113,000.00 secured bond. He is charged with:

  • felony trafficking in methamphetamine
  • felony pwisd methamphetamine 
  • felony maintaining a vehicle for the purposes of selling/delivering a controlled substance
  • felony maintaining a home for the purposes of selling/delivering a controlled susbtance
  • felony possession of heroin (3 grams)
  • misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
