The Hendersonville area could get up to 4 inches of rain from a storm system moving through the area today through Monday morning, the National Weather Service said.
Periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected Sunday as a warm front moves over the region with thunderstorms, high winds and hail possible as well. Minor flooding may also develop during this time.
The forecast calls for a high of 61 on Sunday with just under 3 inches of rain, continuing in the early morning hours on Monday, adding up to a half inch. Monday should turn mostly sunny as the rain moves out, with a high near 74. Tuesday will be nice with a high around 65 under sunny skies. The threat of frost could return Wednesday night, with a low around 35.
