Tropical moisture from the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico will combine to bring heavy rain tonight through Thursday, with the heaviest downpours starting Wednesday night, the National Weather Service said.
Rain will move in tonight and last into Thursday, forecasters said. The heaviest rain for our area is expected to in southern Transylvania, Polk and Henderson counties along the South Carolina line, with 3-4 inches possible. The excessive rain could flood streams and creeks, the NWS said.
