WEEKEND TIPOFF: Music, art, equestrian event

Music On Main Street concert at 7 p.m. Friday features the group Horsefly, a six-piece blues and classic rock group originally from Charlotte. The evening will include a special Corvette Night car show. Visitors Center. Free. North Main Music and arts exhibit in the 500 block features art demonstration at noon and music from 4:30 to 6:30. Free. Fletcher Parks & Recreation Department will host a Concert in the Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday featuring Appalachian Fire, a Hendersonville bluegrass band. Free. Fletcher Community Park. Tryon International Equestrian Center closes out the summer season with an encore $127,000 Grand Prix competition at 8 p.m. Saturday. Activities starting at 6 p.m. include free carousel rides, face painting and airbrush tattoos. The jazz band Melodious Culture will keep the party going with jazz fusion music, rock ‘n roll, country and Top 40 hits. Admission to TIEC and parking are free and open to the public. Dining options include Blue Ginger Sushi, Roger’s Diner and Legends Grille. The Magnolia Concert Series at Flat Rock Cinema at 3 p.m. Sunday features acclaimed guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto, $15. The Street Dance season finale at 7 p.m. Monday features Walt Puckett as caller, Bobby & Blue Ridge Tradition and Mountain Thunder Cloggers. Visitors Center.
