Auten named director of student services

Shannon Auten, the current principal of Innovative High School, will serve as the school system's director of student services, filling Auten the position vacated by Matthew Gruebmeyer, who he is retiring after 26 years with the public schools. Etowah RV park hearing scheduled for next week

The Henderson County Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a hearing next week on a developer's application to permit a 343-space RV park in the middle of Etowah Valley Golf and Resort.
