A forecast of rain through Thursday has forced organizers to postpone the city's Treat Street Carnival to Friday.
Downtown Hendersonville, Henderson County Parks and Recreation Department and Hola Community Arts made the announcement on Wednesday. The activity schedule for the event will remain as originally planned aside from the date change.
Trick or Treating takes place along Main Street from Allen to Sixth Avenue, while the costume contest and Monster Mash are on the Historic Courthouse square. Inflatables will be located in the 200 and 300 block while the movie screen is being set-up in the 300 block near the French Broad Restaurant. Hola Community Arts will be in the 100 south block between Allen and First Avenue. Official Trick or Treating begins at 5 p.m.
