Reviving a battle over who controls public water in Henderson County, county commissioners on Wednesday adopted a strongly worded resolution charging the city of Hendersonville with discriminating against customers outside the city limits and calling on the City Council to immediately equalize all water rates and fees. A Tennessee man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in Henderson County Superior Court to soliciting to commit first degree sex offense with child. Superior Court Judge Peter Knight sentenced Justin C. Lehr, of Chattanooga, to 148 months in prison and ordered him to register as a sex offender for 30 years. In other cases in the recent term of Superior Court: Woodrow O. Massey, of 2126 Pisgah Drive, pleaded guilty to Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Second Degree Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Massey was sentenced to 128 months in prison and ordered to pay $6,345.00 in restitution. Donald A. Jones, of 4 Scottish Lane, pleaded guilty to Breaking and/or Entering, Larceny after Breaking/Entering, Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Habitual Felon. Jones was sentenced to 106 months in prison. Ricky C. Hollifield, of 71 N. Holly Lane, Fletcher, pleaded guilty to two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, two counts of Habitual Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hollifield was sentenced to 45 months in prison. Amanda D. Matthews, of 2780 Greenville Highway, Flat Rock, pleaded guilty to Misdemeanor Child Abuse. Matthews was sentenced to 130 days in jail.
