Ms. Daniels was born March 9, 1926 in Hendersonville to the late Alanzo Theophilus and Lenora Israel Sistare. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, Class of 43. She married Alvin Vance “AV” Daniels, and began her married life as a homemaker, and later, loving mother, in Greenwood, South Carolina. Returning to Hendersonville in 1956, her small family of four welcomed many foster children into their home over the next several years.
